Taking savings a step further… with CDs, IRAs, and SEPs.

Certificates of Deposit (CDs)

  • All CDs require $1,000 to open.
  • There are 6 – 60 month terms available and once open; the same interest rate applies through maturity.
  • Should you withdraw the principal before the maturity date, you may be subject to an early withdrawal penalty.

NOTE: From time to time, Three Rivers Bank of Montana offers Special Growth Certificates of Deposit that allow you to add to the account. The added funds become part of the principal and earn interest from the date of deposit.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)

IRAs were created by Congress to encourage individuals to save money for their retirement. Some of the benefits of contributing to an IRA include tax-deferred earnings, income replacement for retirement, and, in some cases, income tax deduction. In order to contribute to an IRA, an individual must meet the eligibility requirements.

Three Rivers Bank of Montana offers Traditional, Spousal and Roth IRAs, as well as the Simplified Employee Pension (SEP) and Savings Incentive Match Plan for Employees of Small Employers (SIMPLE).

Each of the accounts has special stipulations and limits that must be met by the contributor.

We are happy to help you find the right account for your individual needs.
